Pro-Line / AzBCA Player of the Year
Ty Forney (Mesquite) has been named the Pro-Line/ AzBCA Player of the Year (2008) for his excellent represent of our state and his outstanding performance on the baseball field. Ty was a member of the Junior Sun Belt Team in 2007 and the Senior Sun Belt Team in 2008. Each of these years, he was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Congratuations to Ty and good luck in the future.
Mike Frosco (Bisbee) is the 2008 Jim Phipps Memorial Coach of the Year
for the state of Arizona. Congratuations to Coach Frosco for an outstanding year.

Congratuations to Ron Davini (Chaparral) and Jim Phipps (Lake Havasu) for being named into the National High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame. This ceremony was held at the BCA annual convention in December of 2008.
Congratulations to USA Baseball's 14U National Team for capturing the Gold Medal in Guatemala during the qualifying tournament for next year's Pan American Games. Dave Webb, Head Coach, and Tanner Vesley, assistant coach, both from Corona del Sol High School, helped to bring home the gold and continue the dominance of the 14U Team in international competition.
